Our History
For many people, the childhood dream was to become a footballer or an astronaut – but not for Jonas. He discovered his passion behind the DJ booth at school discos, where his interest in event production first began.
That early fascination soon grew into a love for every aspect of technical production, particularly lighting. Whether it was small LED fixtures or impressive smoke machines, Jonas wanted to learn everything there was to know.
In 2022, he founded Mai-Johansen Production to turn that passion into something of his own. Since then, the company has grown from providing equipment for school discos to delivering professional production services for local theatre performances and a wide range of live events.
Step by step, Jonas has continued building the business -bringing him ever closer to the dream that started it all.
Becoming a footballer or an astronaut was never Sebastian’s dream either. From primary school through to university, his ambition was to become a drummer. But as life often does, things took a different turn.
While studying in England, Sebastian discovered a passion for live sound engineering. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he decided to pursue a full-time career in professional audio.
In 2024, Sebastian met Jonas while they were both working on the same event. It quickly became clear that they shared the same ambition: to build their own place in the live events industry. Together, they continued developing the vision Jonas had started – creating a production company capable of delivering everything from festivals and concerts to conferences and corporate events.
Today, they work hard to be a trusted partner for both clients and industry colleagues – a production company known for reliability, professionalism, and exceptional service.
